NIRA, a Bangalore-based Fintech startup raised $2.1 million in pre series A funding from existing and new Angel investors in UK, India and Europe. With the vision to create a world where everyone has access to fast, frictionless finance at a rate that is fair, the company was founded in 2018 by Rohit Sen and Nupur Gupta. The startup plans to use the investment to hire fresh talent, develop their products and technology further and scale up their lending volumes.
Rohit Sen, ex Goldman Sachs employee and London School of Economics graduate told that they had already received offers from other Venture Capital firms but they did not want to rush into anything and waited for the right partners. They also took into consideration their existing partners and decided to stick to them.
NIRA provides small ticket loans to blue collar and white-collar workers like labourers and people working in transportation, sales, construction etc. through its mobile app and website. It provides convenient services to their target market and help them in financial stability.
