Remote WOrking

Working remotely can create fresh challenges for employees. Experts say some people can unintentionally engage in behaviour that could be considered as bullying or make insensitive remarks that one could find offensive. This can cause friction within the team, impacting productivity. To avoid this, some steps can be taken:

  • Employees must be intentional and not reactive about how they show up before each other.
  • Organisations should establish norms and systems to help those who may feel uncomfortable or threatened.
  • Adopting a soft, non-adversarial language when asking someone to course correct can also go a long way.
