While Ola struggles to get back on its feet in the ongoing pandemic, two of its senior executives bid adieu to the company. Arun Srinivas, COO and global Chief Marketing Officer and Sanjiv Saddy, senior vice president at Ola have announced their departure from the firm.

The firm has recorded exists several key executives in last 8-10 months. Naroo Krishnan, head of products at Ola Mobility and Sanjay Kharb, vice president for engineering at Ola parted ways from the firm earlier this year. Recently, Ola Financial Services chief executive Nitin Gupta also resigned.

One of the Ola spokespersons confirmed the development by stating, “Arun Srinivas, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and Sanjiv Saddy, SVP- Corporate Affairs, are moving on to pursue other opportunities outside of Ola.”

Saddy who previously worked with e-commerce giant Flipkart had a small tenure of 8 months with the ride hailing firm. He joined the firm to drive relationships with key authorities including government agencies. Srinivas’ resignation came as a surprise as he had joined the company’s COO in June 2019 to head the Indian business and lead the marketing, revenue, and all mobility categories globally for the company. He left the advisory role at WestBridge Capital to join Ola.

According to industry experts, Ola has barely reached 20-25% of its pre-Covid numbers. The company also laid off 1400 employees in May to maintain its financial stability.
