refrens, a startup to help freelancers and small businesses with investments and payments has recently received funding from a bunch of angel investors including Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma and founder Anupam Mittal. The platform is constructed to help B2B service providers like designers, software developers, accountants and marketers among others.

Amiya Pathak of Ezcred, Gireesh Subramaniam of Freshworks, Sujayath Ali and Navneetha Krishnan- founders of, Amit Lakhotia of Park+, CEO of Zebpay, founders and senior management of Kaleyra, founders of DailyNinja, Firstcheque and several others participated in the funding round.

The company is currently serving 12,000 businesses and freelancers and it growing at a rate of 10% per week. The founders, Naman Sarawagi and Mohit Jain believe that the future is freelancers and they are creating a platform that will ease their processes. They are planning to utilise the funds in expanding their presence and add freelancer friendly financial services. The investors too have shown belief in the company’s vision and expertise in the tech field.
