Siemens Healthineers and Nasscom have entered a strategic partnership to facilitate innovations in the Healthtech startup ecosystem of the country. MedTech firm, Siemens Healthineers and industry body Nasscom have a Center of Excellence for Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) which will collaborate with startups to create accessible and affordable healthcare solutions for the masses.

The firms released a joint statement saying that Siemens Healthineers Technology Accelerator will provide the platform for the startups to interact with companies globally who are working on cutting-edge technologies in the areas of imaging, diagnostics and digital health leveraging AI, internet of medical things (IoMT) and robotics.

The startups will be able to collaborate with business lines of Siemens through proof-of concept or co-creation projects with a possibility to result in joint development, commercial partnership or supplier engagement. They will also help the startups in validating their solutions, providing domain expertise and enabling access to technology building blocks.

Debjani Ghosh, President of Nasscom stated, “A global crisis at this level has led to downturns, however, it has also led to business disruptions and transformations which have opened a plethora of opportunities to tenacious entrepreneurs.” She also said that Indian startups have been creating solutions for the world to deal with in times of crisis.
