Social distancing and orders to stay inside can seem a nightmare for many extroverts, but the lack of quality contact can be draining for everyone, psychologists say. People missing regular in-person interaction may be filling their calendars with video catch-ups and Zoom drinks, but for those who used to see home as a place to recharge, turning it into the workplace, bar and gym can be stressful. Social scientist Pamela Rutledge says switching to phone calls can give you time to walk around and avoid feeling observed, making conversations with friends feel less like a meeting.
