EdTech startup, Swiflearn has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed round led by Stellaris Venture Partners and Venture Highway. The round also saw contribution from Utsav Somani, Founder of Angel List India. Rahul Chaudhary of Stellaris and Priya Menon of Venture Highway will be guiding the founding team.
Founded by IIT Bombay Alumnus, Abhinav Agarwal and Anand Bakode in 2019, Swiflearn aims to become a respectable platform for K-10 students and provide them with personalized learning space for school curriculum as well as for competitive exams. It also aims to provide support to teachers by leveraging technology.
The startup will be using the raised amount to expand its reach. “The focus is on personal learning and hence our batches are never more than five students. It ensures personal attention for each student from the teacher, enabling every student to ask doubts freely during the class. The classes are a two-way interactive format and teachers use in-house developed content, pedagogy, testing tools, and learning tracking mechanisms. Parents receive timely updates about their child’s class participation, homework completion and learning progress. They also get to work on designed practice tests. The classes mirror school schedules for the maximum benefit of students,” Agarwal said in a statement.
Swiflearn majorly focuses on the training of its teachers and capacity building for them to use the resources in the best way possible and track students using its tools. Teachers also have to go through an extensive selection process. The startup supports the teachers through content, lesson plans, assessments, tests, training and scheduling which removes the burden from their head and fixes their complete focus on student.
The firm is currently in growth stage with alumnus from prestigious colleges like IIT Delhi and Bombay. The employees has a collective experience of 40 years in consulting, education, technology and entrepreneurship.
