Agritech startup, Agro2o has raised an undisclosed amount from venture investing firm, Mumbai Angels Network. The startup was founded in 2018 with the aim of making Hydroponics (which is a clean and sustainable technology has a potential to solve the agricultural problems of water, land and pesticides and herbicides) accessible and affordable for everyone, whether it is an individual or an institution.

Yash Vyas, Founder of Agro2o, said in a statement, “We are delighted to partner with the MA network. With the world-changing, MA pitched in at the right time to support us in executing our vision to offer healthy and sustainable solutions for better living.” This New Delhi-based startup was incubated by Electropreneur Park which is an initiative by Ministry of Electronics and IT.

Agro2o offers urban millennials an intelligent and advanced indoor hydroponics system which automates the process of growing fresh herbs, veggies, medicinal plants and flowers with the ease of pressing a button. The startup will be capitalizing on technologies such as Automation and Internet of Things (IoT) to achieve its vision.

Rohit Pugalia, Mumbai Angles Investor said, “With the rising awareness of eating fresh and healthy, every Urban Household would love to have a kitchen garden but neither do they have enough space nor do they have time and expertise to maintain the same. Agro2o is solving all these with one-of-a-kind flaunt-worthy, self-watering and self-nutrient discharging Smart Garden. That makes it an ideal Investment for our Portfolio.

Agro2o created Smart Garden in the first phase of their project which allowed any individual to grow any kind of plant without putting too much thought into space, maintenance and other factors.
